Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Mary McCourt and Joe Lennon  whose funerals took place this week.  We remember the bereaved in our prayers.


Parish Fund Raising Bingo

Thanks to all who came along to the Fund Raising Bingo night on Wednesday last in the City North Hotel.  A great night was had by all….



We would like to sincerely thank Dave Morgan, our Bingo caller, Joe Tevlin, Michael McLoughlin and Niall Maguire for their support in the room, all our volunteers, especially those who patrolled outside in the freezing cold, all who gave prizes for the raffle, including parishioners, O’Connors, Pharmacy, City North Hotel and Specsavers Balbriggan and to the management and staff of City North Hotel for their help and support on the night.


Ceremonies in the Parish:  Baptism

This weekend we welcome in Baptism: Kevin Gosson, Maya McDonald, Sam Purfield and Mason Skelly. May these newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend. We ask parishioners to pray for these children and their families.

First Communion Preparations – DTIM

  • We welcome the Children from St. Patrick’s School, Stamullen who are enrolling for First Holy Communion this Saturday in Julianstown.   Future DTIM masses for St. Patricks NS will be held in Stamullen Church.

We ask you to pray for all our young parishioners, as they prepare for these important steps in their faith journey.



Holy Hour of Adoration takes place through the day in Julianstown on Wednesday from 9 am and continues after 10 am Mass and on Thursday after 10 am Mass in Stamullen.


St. Pauls Missals 2017

A limited number of Missals are on sale in the Sacristy.  The cost of a Missal is €7. 


Christmas Blessing Cards

We will have a selection of Christmas Blessing Cards for Christmas Day Mass on sale in the Sacristy and the Parish office from next weekend.  The cards will cost €2 each.  The greeting inside will read “You will be remembered at Christmas Day Mass in Stamullen / Julianstown Parish this Christmas”.


St. Vincent dePaul

The local conference of St. Vincent dePaul will hold their annual collection at all Masses next weekend 3rd/4th December.  We are very grateful for your continued support.


Stamullen Art Group – Christmas Fair

Stamullen Art Group are holding a Christmas Fair in the Parish Centre, Stamullen on 3rd and 4th December.  We will have Art, Crafts, Cakes, hand knitwear, and a Raflle over the weekend.  Pop in on Saturday from 5-7 pm or Sunday from 9 am – 12 pm.


St. Patrick’s NS Stamullen – Mince Pie Morning

The Parents Association from St. Patrick’s NS are hosting a Mince Pie morning on Wednesday, 14th December from 10 am to 12:30 pm in Whyte’s Pub, Stamullen.  Come along and enjoy a cuppa and mince pie.  Tickets will be available for a Christmas draw on the morning.


St.  Patrick’s Club – Lotto

Stamullen Road Club – Fund Raising for 2017

The Christmas Draw tickets are now available @ €2 each or Book of three for €5 from the following Outlets, Whyte’s Pub,  Kay’s Stores in Greenanstown, Dee’s Barbers, Shane Curran (Butchers), Centra Supermarket and Landerland. There will be more Outlets named in next week’s Newsletter.  The tickets are also available from all club members.

This Draw is the main fundraiser for the club for the 2017 cycle race season and every effort is being made to make it a resounding success.

We depend greatly on the generosity of the local community for their support and they never let us down.  The first prize in the Draw is a €1,000 cash prize and followed by eleven more very valuable prizes.

The Draw will be taking place in Whyte’s on Saturday night 17th  December and this is always a fun night with great craic and music.

Don’t forget that following the big Draw, there will be a small Auction with all proceeds going to Parish Funds.  If you would like to donate an item (new) for this Auction, it would be most appreciated.  The money raised for the Auction will be handed over to Fr. Declan on this same night.


Invitation to Public Meeting re Neglect of East Meath

Join us in the Glenside Hotel on 30th November at 8 pm.  Issues will include  the roads infrastructure, poor maintenance of public areas, lack of parking, pedestrian safety issues, planning matters and poor communication by Meath County Council.


St. Patrick’s GF & HC – Club News

  1. The rescheduled AGM of St. Patrick’s GAA Club takes place on Monday, 28th November at the GAA Club at 8pm.   All welcome.
  2. The AGM of St. Patrick’s Juvenile Section takes place onThursday, 1st December at the GAA Club at30pm.  All welcome.


Young at Heart Christmas Party

The Young at Heart Christmas Party will take place on Friday, 9th December in Whyte’s of Stamullen.  If you would like to come along please contact Kathleen on 086-3702869.  Cost: €15, includes dinner and entertainment by Matt Leavy and a surprise on the night.. All welcome …….


Sunflower Cafe – Knitting for the Homeless

Many thanks to everyone who donated wool to the Sunflower Cafe knitting group in Sonairte. We have now completed knitting hats and scarves for the homeless, for this year. We will be donating these hats and scarves to Hope for Homeless on Tuesday 29th November, 2016.



The Sunflower Cafe knitting group are running a raffle in aid of Hope for Homeless. Tickets can be purchased in Sunflower Cafe, Sonairte, and cost €2 for a strip of 5 tickets or €5 for 3 strips. There are many prizes including first prize of a gorgeous handcrafted Christmas blanket. Please support this worthy cause.

Balscadden School Annual Christmas Fair

Annual Christmas Fair on Sunday 4th December 2016 from 9.30am to 2pm in Balscadden School Gym including Raffle, Bake Sale, Craft Stalls (some new Exhibitors added this year).  Refreshments, Christmas Gifts made by the children of Balscadden School & lots more including Magic Carl (Children’s Entertainer). Admission free.


Ardee Collon Parish Christmas Concert

Ardee-Collon Parish presents Mary Duff Christmas Concert with special guests Mary Byrne, X Factor and Nigel Connell, Voice of Ireland in the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee on Thursday 15th December at 8pm.
