Pilgrimage to Fatima

I hope to bring a group of Pilgrims to Fatima from 8th to 14th  August. The full itinerary is below and there are information leaflets beside the newsletters and on the Noticeboards.  Our Rome tour guide, Kieran Troy, will once again lead the Pilgrimage. The group will stay in high quality 4 star accommodation with tea making facilities in each room. All dinners (with drinks) and some lunches will be included. Excursions include a tour of the historic city of Lisbon (with visit to the birthplace of St. Anthony of Padua) and visits to the picturesque town of Cascais and the UNESCO-listed royal town of Sintra. The last two nights will be spent in Fatima (two dinners and two lunches included) in a beautiful family run hotel close to the sanctuary. We will have a comprehensive tour of the sanctuary including the Chapel of the Apparitions, the Basilica of the Rosary and the tombs of the visionaries, Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco. There will be plenty of free time for personal prayer. We will also go to Aljustrel to visit the original homes of the little visionaries, a very moving experience for many people. On the last day we will visit the largest shopping centre in Lisbon for a couple of hours before taking our return flight back to Dublin. The package includes return flights, all taxes, all luggage charges (20kg suitcase each), half board throughout (breakfast and dinner) plus two lunches, all drinks at meals, coach transfers, all excursions and full time accompaniment. Cost €935 per person.

The Parish Ministry Day which will take place on Saturday, 18th May, will be of particular interest to those in lay ministry: readers, Ministers of the Eucharist, liturgy teams, safeguarding personnel, parish pastoral and finance personnel and so many others who support the parish in dedicated ways. Boats are available from 9.15am. The day will begin at 10.30am and conclude with the Celebration of Eucharist at 3pm. Hospitality on the day includes tea/coffee & scones and a light lunch. Boats return from 4.15pm. Admission: €25/£22.  For more information or to book contact 071 9861518.
