Stamullen Road Club

Last Sunday in the Tour of the Mournes, Cian Delaney went as close as he could to a win by finishing in 2nd place, which was hard fought.  Cian’s ambition is to get a victory as soon as he can this season and dedicate it to his boss ‘Gaybo’ and we are all rooting for him and indeed all of the club riders, who have continued the racing scene, are all doing so with heavy hearts. Gaybo would be so proud of them.  A huge effort is going on behind the scenes to keep the club very much alive and is being supported (amongst the present riders) along with wonderful help by riders from ‘times past’.  They are all to be commended.

This week’s racing: Tour of Ulster over the bank holiday weekend, where Cian competes with the Leinster team.  Other races taking place over the weekend are the O’Leary Stone Kanturk 3-Day, Clogher Valley GP and Frank 0’Rourke Memorial at Camross (Wexford).  Wishing everyone a happy and safe weekend’s racing.
