Notices

  • First Friday Calls:  There will be no First Friday Calls in January.  Calls will resume in February.

DTIM:  The next DTIM Masses for children preparing for First Communion will take place on Saturday, 21st January at 6 pm in Stamullen (St. Patrick’s NS) and 7pm in Julianstown (Whitecross NS).

Newsletter – Apology

Apologies for any confusion caused with Mass time printing error in the Newsletter for Sunday, 1st January in Stamullen.  (Please note confirmation/information of any changes will always be printed on the back page of the Newsletter).

 

St. Pauls Missals 2017

A small number of Missals are still available in both churches.  The cost of a Missal is €7. 

 

Ceremonies in the Parish:  Baptism

This weekend we welcomed in Baptism: Niall Dunne, Danny Markey Redmond and Ava Murphy. May these newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend. We ask parishioners to pray for these children and their families.

 

Adoration

Adoration resumes in Stamullen on Thursday 12th January following 10 am mass.  All welcome to spend some time in silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament during any Thursday from 10am to 5pm.

Holy Hour of Adoration takes place through the day in Julianstown on Wednesday from 9 am and continues after 10 am Mass.

 

The True Light Prayer Group

Our Prayer Meeting takes place on Tuesdays from 8-9.30pm in the Parish Centre, Stamullen. Join us for prayer, praise and scripture.   We welcome all who have a desire to seek God in His word and in prayer.

Meetings will resume on Tuesday 10th  January 2017.     All welcome,  bring a friend.

 

Stamullen Road Club

Happy New Year to all our members and supporters.

Diary Dates:  The club has been allocated Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th April 2017 for our annual Stamullen GP Cycle Races.

 

St.  Patrick’s Club – Lotto

St. Patrick’s GF & HC – Club News

St. Patrick’s GAA Club would like to wish all players, mentors, sponsors,  supporters and Families a very Happy New Year and we look forward to another great Sporting Year for 2017.

  1. Social Dancing returns to St. Patricks GAA Centre on Friday the 27thJanuary from 9pm – 12.  Music on the night by Brian Mc Dermott.  Adm €10 euro to include light refreshments.
  2. Dancing Jive Classes starting at St. Patrick’s GAA Club, Cockhill Road, Stamullen, on Monday 23rdJanuary from 8.30– 10pm for 5 weeks.   Classes suitable for beginners and improvers.  All welcome. Fee €50 for the 5 weeks payable on the first night. Bingo starts again on Thursday, 19th January in Whyte’s Pub and continues every Thursday night at 9 pm.

Irish Blood Transfusion Service

The opportunity to give blood will arise at Scoil Oilibheir Naofa, Bettystown on Thursday, 12th January 2017 from 5 – 8:30 pm.

It is important that we all remember that many patients in hospitals need our blood and this need never ceases.

 

Gormanston Beach Clean-up New Year

Please note the next off season, once a month clean up will take place on Saturday 4th February. (Running until June 2017).

Meet at 10 am at Delvin River Viaduct.  Clean up generally runs from the Delvin River’s Bremore Beach to Ben Head cliffs.  All equipment supplied in co-operation with Meath County Council.

 

DkIT (Dundalk Institute of Technology)

CAO and Course Information Morning – Saturday 14th January Dundalk Institute of Technology.

DkIT is hosting a CAO and Course information morning for school leavers, mature students and parents on Saturday 14th January between 10am and 1pm in the Muirhevna Building in DkIT.  DkIT offers courses in a variety of areas such as Business, Humanities, Hospitality, Engineering, Computing, Creative Media, Music, Nursing, Health, and Science.

Drogheda & North East Samaritans

Thanks to all who donated toiletries for distribution.  Items collected have been given to  to Homeless Aid in Drogheda.
