Thirty Second Sunday in Ordinary Time 12th November 2023
November
November is a time for remembering and praying for our loved ones who have gone before us and whose loss we feel. It is a time when we are particularly conscious of those in our parish who are grieving and all those who have lost loved ones, especially in the past year.
We mark this time of year in our parish with events like the celebration of remembrance Mass as well as commemorating All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day.
In our Parish, this week we will create a sacred space/garden within both churches. This sacred space will be in the sanctuary area and it will be left in place until the end of November.
We will have our Remembrance Tree in this sacred space and all are invited to take a card, place your loved ones name on it, and hang it on the tree.
List of the Dead
In November we add our loved ones to the List of the Dead in our Parish.
List of the Dead envelopes are available beside the newsletters at the entrance/exit doors. They are also available in your yearly box of envelopes.
All who are named on the Parish List of the Dead will be remembered at all Masses during November and the two masses each First Friday. All are invited to attend these masses on the First Fridays at 10am St. Mary’s and 7:30 pm in St. Patrick’s.
You can return your List of the Dead Envelope in any of the boxes provided in both churches. For security, please leave envelopes during Mass times only. You can also drop them into the Parish Office.
November Memorial Mass
Our Annual Parish Memorial Mass will take place at Vigil Masses on Saturday, 25th November.
Families who lost loved ones during the year will be invited to participate in this Mass.
Indeed, all are invited to participate and very welcome to attend. Please invite your family, friends and neighbours.

Viatores Christi
We welcome members of Viatores Christi who are speaking at Masses in our parish this weekend.
What is Viatores Christi?
- Viatores Christi (VC), is an association of Catholic lay missionary/development workers, founded in 1960.
- VC brings about positive change by improving access to healthcare, education and livelihood opportunities in the marginalised communities in which we work.
Why are they talking at The Masses
- To raise awareness about the missionary work of the Church and the role of lay missionaries, both at home and overseas.
- To thank the people of the Meath Diocese for your support for our work over the years.
- To offer an opportunity and preparation to anyone who feels called to volunteer.
- To appeal for ongoing help both financially and above all through prayer.
